Siku 1557 VW Beetle
In 1945, the first VW Beetle rolled off the production line in Wolfsburg and quickly captured the hearts of the people. The small, cuddly car not only looked good, but was also, above all, affordable, robust, and powerful. The Beetle, as it was dubbed by a New York Times reporter, developed into a fashion item at an unprecedented pace. In 1998, the original Beetle was replaced by the new version, the "New Beetle." After almost 70 years and more than 22 million cars, the last example left the VW factory in Puebla, Mexico. The Beetle is now becoming immortalized in the siku fleet: we are presenting this small cult car with its characteristic rounded shapes for the first time as a faithful replica in a blister pack.
